1. Compared to space structures:

1) Tubular truss structures eliminate the need for lower chord longitudinal members and spherical nodes, unlike space structures.

2) Tubular truss structures are more advantageous than space structures in constructing arches and arbitrary curved shapes.

3) Tubular truss structures have uniform stability in all directions, saving material usage.

2. Compared to traditional open-section (H-beams and I-beams) steel trusses:

1) The cross-sectional material of tubular truss structures is more evenly distributed around the neutral axis, giving the cross-section good compressive and torsional bearing capacity and high stiffness. No gusset plates are needed, simplifying construction.

2) Tubular truss structures are aesthetically pleasing, easy to shape, and have a certain decorative effect.

3) Tubular truss structures have good overall performance, high torsional stiffness, and are relatively easy to manufacture, install, rotate, and lift.

4) Steel tube roof trusses made of cold-formed thin-walled steel have advantages such as lightweight structure, good stiffness, steel saving, and full utilization of material strength. They are especially economical when used in compression members and support systems controlled by slenderness ratio.
