Generally, daylighting panels are made of FRP, while sunlight panels use PC material, though both serve daylighting functions. They also differ in several aspects, such as:

Sunlight Panels
1. Sunlight panels offer superior daylighting performance and weather resistance;
2. Daylighting panels exhibit better acid and alkali resistance, making them less susceptible to corrosion;
3. Production processes differ: Sunlight panels are co-extruded, involving a slightly more complex manufacturing process.
Sunlight panels are one type of daylighting panel, while most daylighting panels are made of FRP. Sunlight panels specifically refer to those made of PC (polycarbonate). Higher-quality PC panels typically have a 10-year warranty, whereas superior FRP daylighting panels often come with warranties of 20 or 25 years.
4. Performance comparison: While FRP has lower thermal conductivity than PC, FRP skylights are typically single-layered, resulting in higher heat transfer than multi-layered PC sunboards. This means indoor temperatures under FRP skylights may be higher during summer sunlight exposure. Both materials generally meet requirements for light transmission and load-bearing capacity.
5. For waterproofing, both FRP and PC panels are secured with screws, generally preventing leaks. However, U-shaped PC panels achieve true waterproofing during installation by ensuring screws do not penetrate the sheet material.
