Compared to traditional buildings, high-rise buildings have more stringent requirements in terms of construction processes, technology, and quality standards. Their construction exhibits three significant characteristics:
First, high technical requirements, frequent high-altitude operations, and complex processes involving power facilities, steel reinforcement, and material transportation; second, high equipment demands, requiring a large amount of transportation equipment, and some equipment needs to operate in high-voltage environments, requiring strict stability and reliability; third, large project scale, increasing construction difficulty, and improper technology and quality control can easily lead to safety hazards.

As people’s demands for quality of life increase, building functions and structures are constantly being innovated, and construction technology is continuously being optimized. To accelerate the commissioning of high-rise buildings, construction periods are constantly being shortened.
In high-rise building construction, construction technology is crucial to the structure, function, and service life of the project. The following are key construction technical points:
- Concrete construction technology: As an important component, it encompasses pumping, pouring, and curing technologies. During construction, a scientific mix design is necessary to ensure structural strength; pumping technology can increase the transport height, but aggregate gradation must be reasonably controlled; during pouring, vibrators must be used to control the vibration time and frequency; and a proper curing system is required to reduce drying shrinkage and cracking.
- Precast formwork construction technology: Precast components are constructed using formwork and concrete pouring. The slipform method and ladder method can shorten the construction period. Strict control of formwork dimensions, rigidity, and strength is crucial during use.
- Steel structure construction technology: Directly affects the reliability and stability of the building structure. Scientific selection of steel reinforcement strength and rigidity is necessary, along with strict quality control and regulation of the steel reinforcement cage according to building requirements.
- Pile foundation construction technology: Crucial for building stability. Due to the high requirements for foundations in high-rise buildings, cast-in-place pile technology is often used, with construction proceeding in the order of drilling, hole cleaning, and lowering the reinforcement cage.
- Reverse construction technology: Commonly used for diaphragm walls in high-rise buildings.
